Congressman Connolly: 'Sadly, the Congress reflects the polarization of the electorate.'

In October 2012, before the election, my Congressman, Democrat Gerry Connolly gave an interview to Patch. One of his comments concerned the polarization of the country - and Congress:
Patch: Can you describe the political environment in Washington?

Connolly: Toxic. Congress is polarized. The country is polarized. Sadly, the Congress reflects the polarization of the electorate. - Patch

So, the composition of Congress reflects the polarization of the country and that is a bad thing? I find this encouraging.

I can only think that this is bad for Democrats given that they do not have control of the House of Representatives any longer. I'm sure that Gerry would have thought it a great thing when his party was in control. We can thank Nancy Pelosi's extreme liberal agenda to thank for handing the House back to Republican control.

You can find Congressman Connolly's interview here.
